Volume 5, April 2008

Its been a year since the last volume. Which either means that there is little to discover in the world of craptology, or that people are saving up their worst work for future publications.

So what treats do we have for you this time ? We have two invited papers. The first is on the random number generator which was presented at the Rump Session of EuroCrypt 2006 in St Petersburg; whilst the second is the hash function song from the Rump Session of Crypto 2007. Along with these we have a submission from Dan Brown on a new branch of provable security called sketchable security, in which proof sketches are put on a rigorous foundation. Finally we have a submission which explains a modern technique behind data protection for large organizations.
