Crypto Course in Bangkok

CRYPTOGRAPHY -- Fundamentals and Applications

Professor Ueli Maurer
Bangkok, Thailand

Course Postponed Indefinitely

Anagram Laboratories is bringing the world's foremost short cryptography course to Asia. The course was to have been held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 7-10 July 2003. Now the course has been postponed indefinitely.

About SARS: Along with the whole world we are watching the SARS situation very carefully and are praying for its rapid resolution. The public health situation in Southeast Asia and consequent uncertainties for travelers in the region have made it very difficult to organize the course we planned. Regretfully, we have decided to postpone the course until further notice. All registrations we received have been refunded in full. We apologize for any inconvenience to our students and friends.

This course has been taught yearly in Switzerland since it was founded in 1984 by Prof. James Massey. The content is updated annually to reflect progress, practice, and current issues. We are inspired to bring the course to Asia now in recognition of the tremendous professional growth of our Asian colleagues and in gratitude for the roles which Asian philosophies and practices have played in our lives.

The course provides in-depth coverage of cryptography from both a conceptual and an application-oriented point of view. It is accessible and valuable to students at many levels of preparation, from serious beginners to seasoned professionals. Serious beginners will receive a grounding in modern cryptography. After taking this course they will be able to extract full value from crypto conferences and literature. Seasoned professionals will come away with new and provocative research ideas.
